GeoVation Food

GeoVation Food

You need 3000 more GeoVation Food points to win this reward.

Win £100 to fund your great idea.

How can your community feed itself better? Answer this question with a good idea and you can win a slice of £400 to make it happen. Just complete the three missions on this page by:

  • identifying a food-related problem,
  • thinking of an idea that tackles the problem,
  • creating a plan to make your solution happen.

Your problem can be anything to do with the growing, harvesting or transporting of food. You might want to think about the cost of food, its environmental impacts, issues to do with health or another issue.

Whatever you think of, you must use an online Ordnance Survey service as part of your plan in the third mission.

To qualify to win the funding you must earn this GeoVation Food badge. The only way to earn the badge is by doing all three of the missions that are linked to from this page. You must be in the UK, aged between 7 and 16 and be supported by your school. They will need to help you manage any winnings. You must earn this badge before 23:59 on 14 June 2012. Winners will be announced on 1 July 2012.
