Investigate the best way to charm worms out of the ground. Try different ways to make the ground vibrate and charm worms to the surface. Why not organise a competition with your friends?

Think about

« How will you vibrate the ground?

« Do you need any rules to make your tests fair?

« How will you keep yourself and the worms safe?

Make sure that the ground is very wet before you start. Some ways you could vibrate the ground:

« Push something in the ground and wiggle it.

« Dance or jump or move in some other way.

« Play a musical instrument.

Now have a go at worm charming!

But remember to make sure you have permission to use the land. Remember that you will need to keep your worms safe! When you find worms, handle them gently, keep them safe from birds, and put them and any soil back safely where they came from.
