The Jungle Book was written by a man called Rudyard Kipling. Kipling was born in Bombay (now Mumbai) in India but his family returned to England and in 1878 he was sent to school in Westward Ho!.He’s famous for writing many stories including Stalky & Co. which included this hillside featured in. Kipling is rooted to this landscape both by through this story and that it’s now named after him.
When walking this woody valley it can feel a little
