Challenge 2012

Take part in The Workshop’s Challenge 2012 and help fund two of Britain’s Olympic stars of the future. Whether it’s wearing your lycra to work or swimming 20 miles a month for 12 months, by completing missions and raising money, you’ll support young British talent and their communities. Plus you’ll have a whole heap of fun while you’re at it!

What is Challenge 2012?

Jordan Houlden, 13, and Channien Lancaster, 11, are two of the UK’s most promising young divers. In fact, they’ve shown such promise that those in the know are already talking about them as contenders for the 2016 Olympics. Honestly, we’ve seen them. They’re incredible.

However, there’s a problem. Both Jordan and Channien come from a disadvantaged and socially challenged part of Sheffield, where opportunities and financial backing are in short supply. Without the necessary funding, neither will be able to pursue their passion for diving. If they are to train regularly, enter competitions and build their careers, they need extra financial support. That’s where our Challenge 2012 comes in.

We think that all young people deserve the chance to see where their talent will take them. Jordan and Channien have talent, determination, and can be a true inspiration to everyone around them. With our help, they can fulfil their potential, achieve their ambitions and make a real impact on their communities.

How you can get involved

We’re aiming to raise £2012 over the course of the next year. To join in, all you need to do is complete special Challenge 2012 missions and ask some kind people to sponsor you. Donations can be sent to the Challenge 2012 team via cheque or through PayPal. You’ll find more information on individual mission pages.
